GO! FIGHT! WIN!
Welcome to the 2008 Season of Easton Wildcats Cheerleading!!!!
Please check back for updates.
What a great week! Easton Wildcats' Cheer Camp 2005 was a huge success...the girls had a good time and learned some great new stuff!
The Easton Wildcats' Cheerleading program is continually growing with girls ages 6-14 that want to have fun, show their athleticism and compete against other squads in the state. They show everyone how much spirit they've got every Sunday. No matter the age, Mites through A's, all of our cheerleaders put out 100% cheering for their team! There are no tryouts. Cheerleaders are placed on teams according to their age/ability.
Our cheerleading programs consists of 5 levels to coincide with the football teams. The girls get to showcase their new cheers, learned during practices, to the fans to increase the spirit on the sidelines. They also get to perform their routines during halftime. The older squads get to take their skills to new levels as they compete against other cheerleading squads. It is amazing to see what these girls are able to do with practice and help from the coaches.
Practice begins the last week of July/first week of August, up to 5 nights a week, until the first game which will be held on Labor Day. Upon the start of school, practices will vary depending on the level of the team. There is a game every Sunday. The season is 8 games long with playoffs following immediately afterwards for all teams except the Mitey Mites. The A and B squads have competition that begins in October and hopefully doesn't end until Walt Disney World in Florida in December! The C, D and Mitey Mite squads have an exhibition in September. The age breakdown for cheerleaders is as follows:
This years squads are continuing the Wildcats tradition of having fun, learning the values of team work and good sportsmanship. Thanks to all of the parents, players and coaches who make it possible.
